  • Saturday 6th of May, 1 to 3 pm:

-"What is a doula?": We will discuss how doulas support growing families from pregnancy to the postpartum period. We will also do a little bit of childbirth education by talking about the stages of labor and how your partner can best support you during each stage.
- Aqua Aerobics with Avis Price.

  •  Friday 12th of May, 5:30 to 7:30 pm:

- Talk by Emily Pardy, Counselor: “Changing More Than Diapers: Preparing your relationship for a baby". 

You know a baby changes everything! But, what does a baby actually do to your relationship? As you welcome home your new bundle of joy, you'll be changing more than diapers as you adjust to new joys, challenges, and role shifts that put your relationship to the test. Learn how to make the most of this season and communication tips for deepening the commitment and love you share with your partner through this journey into parenthood."

- "What is The Bradley Method":  Melinda Ring will help you discover what the Bradley Method is about and how it can help you bring your little ones into the world naturally.

  •  Friday 19th of May, 5:30 to 7:30 pm: 

-“What is Hypnobabies”: Amanda Jonhson will help you discover Hypnobabies through a discussion, a Q&A, and a relaxing self-hypnosis script designed to calm and center you.

-Prenatal Yoga with Whitney Korman.

  •  Saturday 20th of May, 1 to 3 pm:

-DIY Activities:  We will prepare padsickles. We will put aloe and Witch hazel onto a sexy maxy pad and when you will get home you will put them in your freezer. After delivery those will feel amazing especially if you tear or if you have an episiotomy. While doing this activity I will discuss Postpartum care for you and for your baby.

-Q&A:  I will answer every questions that you might have ! Remember: No topic is off the table!

-Closing Party!!! We will chat, eat and drink a fruity cocktail as this will be the last day of the Camp.

  • Your birth ball (not mandatory): If you feel more comfortable sitting on your birth ball than sitting on a chair or on the floor, please bring it with you

  • A yoga mat

  • ​A blanket

  • ​A pillow

  • Yoga attire: Wear something comfortable that you can move in.

  • ​​Swimming pool attire: Bathing suit, towel...

  • 2 noodles: You will use them to float in the pool (MANDATORY)

  • On some days we will be outside so bring what you need to protect yourself from the sun: hat, sunscreen, sunglasses...

Tips and Etiquette:

  • You will be asked to silence your cell phones

  • Please show up 15 minutes early so that we can get situated and start on time

  • Bump Camp is about pregnancy, birth, and motherhood. We all have different views and opinions on those topics and I want to offer a judgment free camp to all of you. So please respect one another’s point of view. Whether you want to give birth at home or at the hospital, or if you want to breastfeed or bottle feed keep in mind that we are all mothers, and that we share the same goal: we wish to have a happy, healthy baby!

  • And finally: relax, feel free to share anything you want, and laugh, laugh, laugh!

Pool Information:

We will enjoy Aqua Aerobics at the YMCA Maryland Farms' indoor pool.

You will have access to the locker room, toilets and showers. The pool is heated at 84 degree F.

Spring ​​​Bump Camp

What is Bump Camp?

Bump Camp is a fun event for pregnant ladies only. It will take place at my home in Nashville. There will be only 10 attendees to allow us to be comfortable to share our stories and to get to know each other.

The whole camp costs $80.

Bump Camp does not offer a strict childbirth education course; it is more like “pregnant girls night out” meets“summer camp”! We will meet each day for 2 hours. First to talk about various topics of the birth world like postpartum care, what a doula can do for you, or how you can use Hypnoses in childbirth. 

Second, to practice a safe prenatal activity that will strengthen and relax your body and mind, so you and your baby can be healthier and happier.

Everyone can participate: All stages of pregnancy and all level of Yoga  and Aqua Aerobics are welcome. Even if you never practiced those sports before, if your health care provider agrees to it you can still participate.

I hope that at the end of the week you will go home relaxed, feeling empowered and comfortable in your upcoming birth. But most of all I hope that you will have made new friends and that you had a blast!!

This Bump Camp is only for 10 pregnant women, so register as soon as possible.

As soon as I receive your payment, I will send you an invitation on the facebook Bump Camp group. We would all communicate through this group, and I will put updates if there are any changes that come up throughout the camp.
